• To show the Google Drive file picker to select a Google Spreadsheet for the configuration.

• To modify the file name and the folder location of the current open file

See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with the app

• To access the current open Google Document

See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Docs documents

• To access the Google Documents that are configured as a template and to copy the content and layout of the document to the current open document.

• To create and access the Google Spreadsheet with the (example) configuration.

View your country, language, and timezone.

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.locale

• The script needs to know your local timezone.

Each Google add-on also gets the following 2 scopes:

• "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email"

• "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile"

Your email address is captured to determine if you are a (free) @gmail.com user or a Google Workspace user. This information is used to determine the available Google features (e.g. script run time). No other information is used.
